Korean inspection and accident history, as JSON

Many cars for sale in Korea come with a condition inspection record and an insurance history. MotorAPIs reads them from Encar, K Car, KB ChaChaCha and other Korean sites and returns them as structured JSON, with labels in English, Russian or four other languages.

What this report is

A Korean dealer selling a used car has to give the buyer a performance and condition inspection record. It goes panel by panel, marking each one as original, repaired or replaced, and covers the frame, leaks, the engine and gearbox, and the tyres.

Many listings also show the car’s insurance history: accidents the insurers paid for and how much, changes of owner and number plate, flood, theft or total loss. For an export buyer these two documents answer most questions before a car leaves Korea.

What’s in the report

Each part appears when the site publishes it. Missing data is marked as unknown, never as fine.

Inspection record

  • Overall result and accident status
  • Each panel: original, repaired or replaced
  • Frame and structural parts
  • Engine, gearbox and leaks
  • Tyres, brakes and electrics

Insurance history

  • Accidents paid by insurers, with amounts

In the API

  • Checked items grouped into blocks
  • Ready labels in the language you ask for
  • The site’s own Korean text kept as evidence

How it works

Reports travel inside the car record. Add lang and every label comes in your language, with the site’s own wording kept next to it.

Questions about Korean reports

Does every Korean car come with a report?
No. A report is there when the listing publishes one. Filter the search with has_inspections=1 or has_history_reports=1 to get only cars that have them.
Which languages are the reports in?
Labels come in the language you pass in lang: English, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Bulgarian or Albanian. The original Korean wording stays next to each label.
Does an empty history mean the car is clean?
No. A missing report proves nothing. The API keeps a zero apart from an unknown answer, so your users see exactly what the site said.
Which sites publish these reports?
Encar, K Car, KB ChaChaCha, HeyDealer, Bobaedream and AutoInside among others. Each report stays tied to the listing it came from.
