Common questions
- Can I get a report for any car?
- For cars from the US and Canada, Carfax and AutoCheck need only the VIN. Korean and Chinese reports come with the listing, so they exist only for cars whose site published one.
- Do reports come with the same key as the data?
- Yes. One key covers auction lots, marketplace listings and reports. Report access is switched on for your key on request.
- Do you change what the reports say?
- No. Carfax and AutoCheck reports arrive as their providers make them. Korean and Chinese reports get a common structure and translated labels, and the original text stays next to every label.
- Is MotorAPIs connected to Carfax or Experian?
- No. MotorAPIs is an independent service. Carfax and AutoCheck are trademarks of their owners and are named here only to describe the reports.
